The correspondent of Izvestia became the winner of the Golden Pen of Russia Award
Izvestia correspondent Sergey Prudnikov became the winner of the professional award "Golden Pen of Russia" in the nomination "For bravery in the line of duty." The award ceremony took place on March 26 at the Central House of the Russian Army.
The jury summed up the work of the media community in 2025. The category regulations require, in particular, that applicants work in the conflict zone for at least a month.
The memorial badge was presented to the Izvestia journalist by the Hero of Russia Evgeny Poddubny. The award was given for a cycle of 11 materials from the Kursk region.
The series is based on reports on the crucial events of March 2025. Among the works submitted to the competition are an exclusive from the newly liberated Sudzha, a text about the salvation of church valuables in the Sudzha district, and a report on Operation Potok.
Sergey Prudnikov has been working at Izvestia since 2018. His track record includes reports from the DPR, LPR, Zaporizhia and Kursk regions. He is one of the journalists who know how to combine professionalism with personal courage, operating in high-risk areas.
