The doctor added that red meat in the diet is associated with a lower risk of depression and PTSD. She recommended that healthy adults under the age of 50 consume 150-200 grams of red meat once or twice a week, and after the age of 50 - no more than once a month (due to the age—related decrease in anti-carcinogenic protection).
