The best-selling cars of January in Russia are named

Seven models of domestic car brands entered the top 10 bestsellers of the Russian market in January 2026. This follows from the report of the analytical agency Autostat, which Izvestia reviewed on February 4.

Lada Granta is in first place in the model rating, cars of this family (including those produced on the basis of Granta) were sold in January in the amount of 7,597 units. This is 33.5% less than a year ago. The Haval Jolion crossover (4,366 units) retained the title of the most popular foreign car in Russia, with sales growing by 5.5%.

This is followed by six models of domestic brands. These are the Tenet T7 and T4 crossovers (4,169 and 4,123 units, respectively), Lada Vesta (3,037 units; -62.1%), Lada Niva Travel SUVs (3002 units; -3.2%) and Niva Legend (2,388 units; -14.1%), as well as Lada Iskra (2,173 units).

In ninth place is the Mazda CX-5 crossover (1,890 units), which, as experts noted, has not been included in the rating for a very long time. For comparison, it sold 122 copies in January last year. The top ten was rounded out by the Belarusian crossover Belgee X50 (1,627 units), sales of which increased by 63.7%.

Lada Vesta showed the deepest market drop (-62.1%). The Tenet T7 and T4 models, as well as the Lada Iskra, entered the market in the second half of 2025, so sales dynamics are not given.

Chinese cars are being replaced by Russian models

Earlier in the day, it was reported that by the end of January 2026, 80.6 thousand new passenger cars were sold in Russia, which is 9.5% less than in the same month of 2025.
