The general director will be replaced at the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant
The Sollers Group announced personnel changes starting on February 1 of this year. Ilnur Sakhabiev will be appointed to the position of CEO of UAZ LLC, who will replace Alexei Spirin, the automaker said in a statement received by Izvestia on January 27.
Sahabiev is the head of the Zavolzhsky Motor Plant, he led the projects for the production of new diesel engines and Sollers gearboxes. Alexey Spirin, CEO of UAZ, will be promoted to the position of Deputy General Director of Sollers PJSC for production and quality.
"His position will involve the introduction of a unified production system, production and quality management standards in all industrial projects, as well as monitoring the implementation of the production program," the company said.
Spirin's position will be new, along with another one — Deputy General Director for the development of industrial infrastructure and new industrial projects. It will be occupied by Alexey Matasov, General Director of Sollers Alabuga LLC. His area of responsibility will include projects to modernize and create new production facilities and technological alterations at all industrial sites of the group, as well as optimize and improve the efficiency of using the engineering infrastructure of the sites.
It is noted that the personnel changes are aimed "at strengthening the company's management resource for the development of new product production and further modernization of industrial sites."
On January 14, the press service of the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant informed Izvestia that the company plans to launch sales of Profi 4x4 and Profi Polutorka cars with a new power unit closer to the third quarter of 2026. Commercial family cars will receive a two-liter diesel engine coupled with a six-speed manual transmission.
