Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov pointed to the intensive nature of Russian-Belarusian political contacts at the highest and highest levels. He announced this on January 16 at a meeting with the Ambassador of Belarus to Russia Alexander Rogozhkin.

"The parties noted with satisfaction the intensive nature of Russian-Belarusian political contacts at the highest and highest levels, the progressive development of multifaceted bilateral cooperation and the steady dynamics of building the Union State," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on its website.
