FC Spartak appointed Spaniard Carcedo as the head coach of the team
Spaniard Juan Carlos Carcedo became the head coach of the Moscow football club Spartak. This was announced on January 5 by the press service of the red and white.
Carcedo, 52, is scheduled to take up his duties on January 8.
"The Spanish specialist has signed a contract with the red and white team until the summer of 2028. <...> Welcome back to Spartak, Juan Carlos!" the message reads.
Prior to that, on January 3, it was reported that the head coach of Cyprus FC Pafos Carcedo would sign a contract with Spartak within a week when he arrived in Moscow. The Spanish coach has already coached the Russian club: in 2012, he was a member of the coaching staff of Unai Emery, and also worked with him at Almeria, Valencia, Sevilla, PSG and Arsenal.
