The Vostok tankers have developed a new tactic for breaking through the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Donbas

Tankers of the Vostok group of forces broke through the defenses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) near the village of Sladkoe in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). On December 21, the Russian Defense Ministry announced a new defense breakthrough tactic developed by Russian military personnel.

"One car covered the sector with fire from deep, the second with sharp jerks went to the front edge and hit with direct fire," the Telegram channel said.

It clarifies that the key to success lay in the pace, accuracy and competent work with drones. The operators adjust the fire, suggest new targets and warn of threats.

On December 19, tankers of the 1442nd Guards Motorized Rifle Regiment of the Southern Group of Forces told Izvestia correspondent Egor Kildibekov how they equipped the T-72B3M tank with additional protection from the AFU FPV drones, making their model unique. The driver with the call sign Sexton, talking about the development, clarified that the combat vehicle is equipped not only with a "brazier" (a mesh metal frame mounted directly on the equipment itself), but also with a so-called porcupine (aluminum wire attached to the body).
