The Russians told the experts of Aktion Occupational Safety and Health (part of the Aktion group) what injuries they received at corporate events. I got acquainted with the survey results on December 19. "Газета.Ru ".

"In most organizations, injuries after corporate events have never been investigated or recognized as industrial. To qualify an injury as an industrial injury, a number of criteria must meet: the employer's territory, working hours, performing any work on behalf of the employer, and briefing before the event," said Ekaterina Yefremova, a leading expert at Aktion Occupational Safety and Health.

The expert clarified that in 45% of organizations, according to respondents, corporate parties are held directly on the territory of the enterprise, and in 22% of organizations they are instructed before the event. Such employers risk incurring liability for employee injuries.

According to the survey, 90% of respondents received only minor injuries at corporate events, 5% suffered moderate injuries, and only 3% received serious injuries. According to the respondents, injury most often occurs due to careless dancing on tables (30%) and swimming in natural reservoirs (25%).

Olga Petrova, an expert on labor law, in an interview with aif.ru On December 19, she told me if she could be fired for her behavior at a corporate event. The expert explained that in the Labor Code, which is a federal law, there is no concept of "corporate", therefore, it is impossible to dismiss an employee for behavior at such an event. She also explained that the issue of punishment for failure to perform work duties after a corporate event is considered by the employer in a general manner.
