On December 19, Russian President Vladimir Putin will summarize the results of the outgoing year and answer questions from journalists and citizens. Just like last year, the direct line will be combined with a big press conference. This will be the fourth time that both formats have been held together. Izvestia reports when the live broadcast will begin and what issues are planned to be discussed.

The program "Results of the Year with Vladimir Putin" will be held on Friday, December 19, at 12:00 Moscow time. This year, the event will be held without direct inclusions from the regions, as, according to officials, such a form is no longer necessary.

Questions from citizens will be accepted until the broadcast ends. You can ask your question to the president on the official website of the program. moskva-putinu.ru , by calling the 8-800-200-40-40 hotline, via SMS and MMS to 0-40-40, as well as in special groups on VKontakte and Odnoklassniki social networks. This year, the chatbot in the MAX messenger has become another way of communication.

Questions began to be accepted on December 4. At the moment, over 1.2 million requests have been received. The GigaChat neural network from Sberbank is used to process them. According to a preliminary analysis, among the most popular topics are issues of social policy, infrastructure development, housing, and public-government relations.

Experts expect that key topics of economic development, technology, including artificial intelligence, the international agenda, and measures to support regions, families, and ITS participants will also be touched upon during the broadcast.

The event will be broadcast by the leading federal TV channels: First, Rossiya 1 and NTV. In addition, the live broadcast will be available on the Kremlin's official website, in the program's communities on social networks and online platforms of major media outlets, including the Izvestia website.

Last year, the direct line also took place on December 19th. The President answered 76 questions from journalists, bloggers and Russians. In total, more than 2 million questions were received in 2024. The conversation lasted four and a half hours. Most of them concerned social support for citizens, the Russian economy, special operations, and the country's foreign policy.

Given the extensive agenda, it is expected that the 2025 broadcast may become one of the longest in recent years. So far, the longest broadcast in history was in 2013, which lasted 4 hours and 47 minutes. The first direct line with Vladimir Putin took place in December 2001 and lasted only 2 hours and 20 minutes.

Earlier, Izvestia reported that Moscow and St. Petersburg became leaders in the number of calls to Putin's direct line.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
