An additional 10 billion rubles will be allocated for the salary increase of doctors and nurses in 2026. Khabarovsk Territory will receive about 51 million rubles for these purposes. The corresponding order was approved by the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin.

The allocated funds will be distributed among the budgets of regional compulsory health insurance funds, IA AmurMedia writes. The reason for this decision is the annual increase in the number of healthcare workers.

So, according to preliminary data, next year more than 6 thousand doctors and about 8 thousand mid-level specialists will join medical organizations.

In early December, it became known that in 2025, 57 new specialists arrived at medical institutions in the Khabarovsk Territory under the Zemsky Doctor/Zemsky Paramedic program. About 88 million rubles were allocated from the federal and regional budgets for payments for them. Doctors are working under a program initiated by Russian President Vladimir Putin in 13 municipal districts.

The regional government emphasizes that the project has become a solution to the shortage of medical specialists. This is one of the main objectives of the national project "Long and active life".

Earlier it was reported that about 72,000 doctors and health workers went to work in rural areas and small towns under the Zemsky Doctor program. Since 2012, payments to them have amounted to almost 73 billion rubles, and another 33 billion are planned until 2030.
