The operator of the Turkish Stream gas pipeline, South Stream Transport (SST) (a Dutch subsidiary of Gazprom), is moving its headquarters from the Netherlands to Hungary. This was announced on December 9 by Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economic Relations Peter Szijjarto.

"The company's move from the Netherlands to Hungary has begun, and its activities are not limited by any sanctions," he wrote on Facebook (the social network belongs to Meta, a company whose activities are recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).

The day before, the Amsterdam court seized SST's assets and ordered the company to pay legal costs in the amount of €1,9 thousand.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, during talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin on November 28, expressed hope for continued dialogue with Russia on energy issues. The Hungarian Prime Minister noted that Budapest highly appreciates the stability and predictability of Russian energy supplies.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced on November 26 that the Turkish Stream pipeline was currently operating at full capacity, as was the Blue Stream pipeline. He specified that the Russian side continues trade and economic cooperation with the Republic of Turkey.
