- On November 21, the prosecutor will request a time limit for the defendants in the Dolina apartment scam case.
On November 21, the state prosecution will request punishment for four defendants in the case of fraud involving the apartment of singer Larisa Dolina. This was reported to Izvestia on November 19 by an informed source.
There are four defendants in the dock: Artur Kamenetsky, Dmitry Leontiev, Andrey Osnovy and Angela Tsyrulnikova, charged under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Fraud committed by an organized group or on an especially large scale or resulting in the deprivation of a citizen's right to housing").
According to investigators, the defendants committed embezzlement by deception in the amount of 175 million 120 thousand rubles, causing damage to the victim on an especially large scale. In addition, they deprived the victim of the right to housing.
According to the Moscow prosecutor's office, the total damage to the singer was caused in the amount of more than 317.6 million rubles. The defendants are currently in custody, and after the indictment is handed over to them, the criminal case will be sent to the Meshchansky District Court for consideration on its merits, the department added.
In August 2024, the singer succumbed to the tricks of telephone scammers, lost her savings and even sold the apartment at their request. For three months, from April to June, malefactors based in Ukraine methodically deceived Dolina, forcing her to transfer funds to them. Realizing that she had been deceived, the actress turned to law enforcement agencies.
In March of this year, the Khamovnichesky district court of the capital ruled in favor of Dolina on the counterclaims of the singer and the new owner of the apartment, who became a 34-year-old single mother Polina Lurie. The court recovered more than 69 million rubles in favor of the actress in the framework of the criminal case.
Later, on September 8, it was reported that Lurie's appeal was denied. The Moscow City Court also recognized the legal decision on the ownership of the disputed apartment for Dolina, her daughter and granddaughter.
On October 27, Lurie appealed the decision to invalidate the purchase and sale of the artist's real estate to the Court of Cassation.
