Corruption may become the main obstacle on Ukraine's path to joining the European Union. This was announced on November 13 by Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski on the Polsat TV channel.

"Today, my guest was Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Taras Kachka. He heard from me that the easiest way to lose the trust of the West is to tolerate corruption," RIA Novosti quoted the Polish Foreign Minister as saying.

He added that if Kiev does not change its approach to solving this problem, it will not be able to achieve EU membership.

Earlier, on November 12, political analyst Ivan Mezyuho, in an interview with Izvestia, noted that corruption scandals in Ukrainian government circles deal a serious blow to the reputation of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and complicate Kiev's relations with European partners. The expert stressed that Brussels may demand explanations from the Ukrainian leader, but at the same time they will continue to financially support the country.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
