In the Russian Federation, a decrease in the cost of used foreign cars was recorded

In October 2025, the average cost of a used car no older than 15 years in the Russian market dropped to almost 2 million rubles. At the same time, the average price of a domestic car is kept at 700 thousand rubles. Experts from <url> Assessment told Izvestia about this on November 12.

According to analysts, the average price of used cars of Chinese brands dropped by almost 4% in a month and reached 2 million rubles. In annual terms, the decrease exceeded 200 thousand rubles. In the group of European, Japanese and Korean brands, as a result of a 3% decrease in October, the average price reached 2.19 million rubles (-11% in annual terms). The average cost of a Russian-made car has not actually changed over the past month and remains at the level of 690 thousand rubles.

The largest drop in the average cost (by 3%) in October among used models was shown by Datsun mi-DO (521 thousand rubles), Lifan Solano (303 thousand rubles), Lada 2110 (264 thousand rubles), Skoda Superb (1.1 million rubles) and Lada 4x4 (500 thousand rubles).

In almost 70 regions of the Russian Federation, a decrease in the average cost of a used car was recorded in October. The Vologda Region topped the list, where the drop exceeded 9%, to 1.12 million rubles. This is followed by Yaroslavl (1.17 million rubles) and Kaliningrad (1.79 million rubles) regions, where the drop was more than 6%. In St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region, the price reached 1.9 million rubles, having lost almost 80 thousand in a month. The capital region remains the region's leader in terms of the highest average cost of a used car, although it decreased by 3% in a month, to 2.57 million rubles.

Temporary balance: the used car market has stabilized

Since the beginning of the year, more than 4.4 million used cars have been sold in Russia.

The day before, it was reported that in October 2025, compared with September, the demand for used cars increased by almost 4%, and some models became more in demand by more than 10%. The most popular cars were Lada, Toyota, Hyundai, Kia and Volkswagen brands.
