An outbreak of avian flu has occurred at one of the enterprises in the Tyumen region. This was announced on November 10 at the regional information center.

"An outbreak of an infectious bird disease has occurred on the territory of a poultry farming enterprise in the Tyumen region. The region's food security is under control. Supplies of the company's products have been stopped," the center's Telegram channel wrote.

It is specified that the decision was made to slaughter poultry in order to prevent the spread of the disease. All necessary measures are carried out in accordance with veterinary regulations. In addition, the place for incineration was chosen at a distance from residential buildings, and the process itself takes place mainly at night.

"Specialists will monitor compliance with all requirements when burning poultry corpses," the information center stressed.

Earlier, on October 10, Medical Xpress magazine reported that, according to a new study, cheese products made from contaminated raw milk may contain the infectious avian influenza virus. This creates potential health risks for consumers. The study showed that raw milk cheese products contain a viable avian influenza virus if the cheese was made from infected raw milk and the pH of the cheese was between 5.8 and 6.6.
