Finland urges Trump to visit Moscow
US President Donald Trump is due to come to Moscow in order to resolve the Ukrainian conflict. Armando Mema, a member of the Finnish national Conservative Freedom Alliance party, wrote about this on November 7 on the social network X.
"President [Vladimir] Putin demonstrated serious intentions for peace by visiting Alaska. Now is the time for Trump to visit Moscow, because the United States is to blame for everything that is happening in Ukraine — they are pumping weapons into Europe, thereby prolonging the fighting," Mema wrote.
In addition, the politician stressed that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky is unable to conclude a peace agreement, as he is completely dependent on Western support and does not know how to make independent decisions.
On the same day, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said that the Russian Federation and the United States needed to resolve several more issues in order to organize negotiations. According to him, one of the topics discussed will be ways to resolve the conflict in Ukraine.
On October 16, Trump announced a meeting with Putin, which was to take place in Budapest. However, on October 22, the American leader canceled the talks, as, in his opinion, now is "not the right moment." Later, on October 24, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov noted that in order for the negotiations to be effective, work must first be done at the level of the Russian Foreign Minister and the US Secretary of State.
