In Russia, it was proposed to oblige men to pay for the work of housewives
On November 6, Alexandra Miller, a practicing psychologist, political consultant and public figure, proposed at the legislative level to oblige men to pay for women's housework.
Miller explained that the trend towards equality and partnership is currently gaining popularity. She noted that in cases where a woman is forced to do household chores, refusing the opportunity to work, the man is obliged to pay her a monthly salary, thereby compensating for her contribution to everyday life.
"This is fair compensation for work and recognition that a man's career, his peace of mind and his success are built, among other things, on the free labor of a woman who provided him with a reliable rear. In addition, this measure would ensure financial security for women: she would turn from a petitioner into a partner with her own financial support," the expert said in an interview with Paragraph.
According to Miller, the legally established obligation of a spouse to pay his wife money for housework would give women financial independence and strengthen family relations.
On October 19, Maria Ignatieva, a psychoanalytic psychotherapist and psychologist at the Yasno service, told Izvestia about the importance of maintaining partnerships after having children. She advised couples to sometimes take time off from the parental routine and devote time to each other, from daily micro-rituals to full-time together.
