The weather forecaster warned of a rainy week in the capital region

Unstable weather with periodic rains awaits Muscovites at the beginning of the week, and precipitation will become more intense by Friday. Tatiana Pozdnyakova, a leading specialist at the Meteonosti agency, told Izvestia about this on October 20.

According to her, on Monday and Tuesday, the weather will be determined by the filling southern cyclone, which will bring light rains to the capital region.

"The temperature regime will remain at the level of the climatic norm. Nighttime readings will be +1...+3 degrees in Moscow, and -0...+5 degrees in the region. Daytime temperatures are expected to range from +6...+8 in the capital and +3...+8 in the Moscow region. In the first half of the week, the north-easterly wind of moderate intensity will prevail," the forecaster said.

The middle of the week will bring a temporary improvement in weather conditions. No significant precipitation is expected on Wednesday and Thursday due to increased atmospheric pressure. However, starting on Friday, the situation will change — a powerful cyclone from the south of Scandinavia will begin to determine the weather, which will bring cloudy weather and real autumn rains.

The temperature regime at the end of the week will not change significantly, remaining within 0...+5 degrees at night and +3...+8 during the day. As the forecaster noted, October 25 may become the warmest day of the week, but comfortable weather should not be expected — due to the increasing south wind and high humidity, the effective temperature will be felt at around +8 degrees. Precipitation throughout the week will fall exclusively in the form of rain.

On October 15, the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, Roman Vilfand, said that a cold snap was observed throughout Russia, as a result of which the country's transition to winter mode could be said. Even in the southern regions of the Russian Federation, there is a cooling. Despite maintaining fairly comfortable temperature values up to +18 degrees, these values will soon decrease.
