US President Donald Trump's plane landed at Tel Aviv Airport on October 13.

He arrived in Israel to address the Israeli Parliament (Knesset) on the first day of the hostage release.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is taking part in the welcoming ceremony of the American leader at the airport. After that, Trump will drive through the main road of the country, which leads from the airport to Jerusalem.

Earlier in the day, the first group of seven hostages released by Hamas was handed over to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in the Gaza Strip.

On October 9, Israel and Hamas signed an agreement on a cease-fire and the release of hostages after indirect talks in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt. According to the agreement, the fighting will cease, Israel will partially withdraw from Gaza, and Hamas will release all remaining hostages in exchange for prisoners held in Israel. The ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip entered into force on October 10 at 12:00 Moscow time.
