A resident of the city of Karabulak in the Republic of Ingushetia drowned a Mercedes-Benz Gelandewagen in the reservoir "Happy Pond", located in the administrative district of the city of Nazran. This was announced on October 10 by the Interior Ministry in the region.

"The foreign car crossed the roadway, the sidewalk, broke through a cast—iron fence and drove along the sloping shore into an artificial lake, hiding under water almost completely," the Telegram channel said.

As indicated, witnesses of the accident pulled the 19-year-old driver and her passengers aged 16 and 17 out of the water. They were sent for outpatient treatment.

It clarifies that in relation to the parents of minors, the issue of bringing to administrative responsibility is being resolved under the article on the failure of parents or other legal representatives of minors to fulfill their responsibilities for the maintenance and upbringing of minors.

An investigation is currently underway into the incident, the agency concluded.

On October 10, the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Russian Interior Ministry reported that 296 road accidents had been recorded on Russian roads over the past day, killing 39 and injuring 338 people.

Later that day, a source from Izvestia reported that a foreign car had crashed into a pole on the Entuziastov Highway in Moscow. One person was trapped inside the car. It was clarified that a Dodge passenger car crashed into a pole, as a result of which it was torn in half.
