On October 10, Russian President Vladimir Putin called Tajikistan an important partner for Moscow.
On October 8, Putin arrived in Tajikistan on a state visit. Also, during the ceremony of exchanging signed documents on October 9, he called the relations between Moscow and Dushanbe friendly and allied. During the meeting, the sides discussed the bilateral agenda in the fields of economy, security, politics, trade, culture, as well as the international situation.
