The situation on the fuel market in Russia is stable and at the moment the measures necessary for its improvement are being worked out in the country. This was announced on October 9 in the press service of the Government of the Russian Federation with reference to the results of a meeting held by Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak.
"The Deputy Prime Minister noted that the situation at the moment is generally stable. The ban on fuel exports remains in place. A number of additional measures aimed at improving the market are also being worked out," the press service said in a Telegram channel post.
It is specified that as part of the execution of Novak's instructions, a model for monitoring the cost of gasoline was developed. It is based on consumer activity and will allow you to monitor the dynamics of prices and fuel consumption in different regions of the country.
In addition, the Deputy Prime Minister instructed the Ministry of Energy to monitor the situation on the fuel market in order to reliably ensure domestic demand for petroleum products and ensure that the price balance in the retail segment is maintained.
"The Ministry of Economic Development has been instructed to analyze the parameters influencing the formation of retail fuel prices," the report says.
Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors, said on October 9 that competitors were not close to Russia in the matter of gas reserves. According to him, Gazprom currently "produces the most gas" and "has the most gas reserves." The head of the company noted that the gas reserves in the Russian Arctic amount to 87 trillion cubic meters.
