Nutritionist, PhD Margarita Koroleva called water with lemon a drink that will boost the body better than coffee.
In an interview with Radio 1 on Thursday, October 2, she said that water with lemon on an empty stomach is useful due to the unique properties of citrus. Despite its sour taste, lemon has an alkalizing effect that helps neutralize nocturnal acidity and prepare the digestive system for work.
According to her, such a drink acts as a natural energy drink: it invigorates, triggers the rhythms of the body and helps to start the day in good shape, writes "Moscow 24".
