Alexey Govyrin, a State Duma deputy and member of the State Duma Committee on Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, told Izvestia on September 30.

The reason for the recalculation is related to an increase in the salaries of active military personnel and employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Rosgvardiya, FSIN and other structures. He clarified that for civil pensioners, all major indexations were carried out earlier this year. Insurance payments have been increased since January, and social benefits have been increased since April. New payments for pensioners over the age of 80 will also begin in October. In their case, the fixed pension payment is doubled, and a care allowance is also added.

The MP also said that the recalculation of pensions will be carried out automatically, and pensioners do not need to apply. The amount of the payment will change, and the indexed pension will start arriving in October. The exact date depends on the region and the delivery schedule, but if the payment for October was transferred before the recalculation, the missing amount will be paid in a separate payment.

"The average size of the military pension after the October indexation will be about 46 thousand rubles. This figure consists of the usual pension amount and the increase resulting from the recalculation. In terms of the ratio to prices, we can say that only an increase of 7.6% does not cover inflation, however, in general, taking into account the January increase, the total increase for the year exceeds 17%, which is higher than the growth rate of consumer prices," concluded Govyrin.
