US President Donald Trump should not trust the European Union (EU) in the sale of weapons, which may later be transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) — the alliance may not pay for the purchased equipment, as it happened before. This was announced by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on September 28.

"I wish there weren't any combinations like, 'I'll give the weapons, I'll sell them to the Europeans, and they can supply them to Ukraine.' <...> Listen, well, we're adults. <...>..> How [former US President Joe] Biden used to give away weapons, but they went to Ukraine. Are you going to check who paid who and what?" he said on the Belarus-1 TV channel after a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

He called on Western countries to be more open and not publicly announce agreements that have not yet been fully concluded.

On September 28, Politico newspaper reported on a "mega deal" being prepared by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to purchase weapons from the United States. According to the publication, he announced discussions with the American side on the main points of the agreement, the amount of which, as noted, is $ 90 billion.

On September 26, Trump stated that Washington no longer intends to participate in financing Ukraine, as, according to him, it takes a lot of money, and his state aims to earn money, so its goal is not to maintain, but to end the conflict.
