Air defense forces shot down drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Volgograd region

Last night, the Air Defense Forces repelled an attack by drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the Volgograd region. This was announced on September 27 by the governor of the region Andrey Bocharov.

"Last night, the air defense forces of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation repelled an attack by unmanned aerial vehicles on the territory of the Volgograd region," he wrote on the Telegram channel.

It is noted that as a result of the fall of the drone debris in the Krasnoarmeysky district of Volgograd, two non-stationary shopping facilities were damaged. Bocharov clarified that there were no injured residents during the attack.

Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that 55 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) had been eliminated overnight. At the same time, 27 of the downed drones were intercepted in the sky over the Rostov region, eight over the territory of the Bryansk region, and six each over the Astrakhan and Voronezh regions. In addition, five drones were eliminated over the territory of the Volgograd region, two over Kursk and one over Belgorod.
