UAV operators destroyed the M777 howitzer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kherson region

A crew of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of the 49th Combined Arms Army from the Dnepr group of forces uncovered and destroyed a 155-millimeter M777 howitzer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the right bank of the Dnieper River in the Kherson region. This was announced on September 27 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

The UAV operator detected the enemy's position. The howitzer was located at a sufficient distance, so the commander decided to strike with an unmanned Lancet-type barrage ammunition, which is equipped with a low acoustic signature. It can be armed with both high-explosive fragmentation and cumulative warheads.

The specialists moved to a pre-prepared position, where they launched, and successfully destroyed the cannon.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported on September 26 that the operators of the Molniya-2 UAV of the Ivanovo Airborne forces destroyed a unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of the village of Chasov Yar. It is clarified that the operators received the exact coordinates of the target, after which they launched the UAV and destroyed the enemy unit.
