Serial poisoner from Balashikha tried to kill relatives with "holy water"

Artyom Missyura, a resident of Balashikha, accused of poisoning his relatives and friends, wanted to give his uncle and grandmother a deadly liquid disguised as "holy water." This was announced on September 26 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the courtroom where the poisoner's case is being heard.

Speaking at the meeting, Missyura's uncle noted that his nephew had repeatedly brought food and drinks to their home. The bottles had no labels, and the liquid spilled in them was very sweet.

"He also brought water from the holy spring into the house, it had a peculiar smell. The water was poured out, and there were stains on the sink that looked like acid burns," said a relative of the poisoner.

After the man's mother ate porridge with mushrooms brought by her grandson, her lips turned blue. Uncle Missura himself was paralyzed for 12 hours after tasting the gifts from his nephew.

"The attacks were repeated later: after physical exertion, I felt unwell, and in the morning I couldn't get up, I was disoriented in space," the man added.

In the intensive care unit, he and his mother were diagnosed with acute renal failure. In turn, Missyura convinced his relatives that antiviral pills were the cause of their illness. In April 2024, his grandmother died after tasting a cake given by her grandson.

He faces a life sentence for two murders and seven more attempted murders.

Missyura was detained on July 19, 2024. According to the investigation, from January to June, the suspect, while in his parents' apartment, poured strong chemicals into their products with the aim of fatal poisoning. The victims, after a sharp deterioration in their health, resorted to the help of doctors, but they could not determine the cause. After that, a surveillance camera was installed in the apartment, which recorded how Missyura poured toxic substances into his parents' food.

On August 25, Missyura, accused of poisoning his relatives and friends, fully admitted his guilt. His ex-girlfriend Kristina Dudkina appeared in court. She shared that she herself became a victim of poisoning in January 2024. After consuming a cocktail made by her ex-boyfriend, she lost consciousness and spent a week in a coma.
