A court in Moscow arrested Leonid Gozman in absentia for justifying terrorism.
The Gagarin District Court of Moscow has detained public figure Leonid Gozman in absentia (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation). The relevant information was published on September 19 in the file file on the court's website.
"Current status: satisfied on 09/19/2025," is indicated in the column on the status of the petition filed by the investigation.
It is noted that the court's decision will come into force on September 23. The choice of a preventive measure was considered in a case initiated under Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Justification of terrorism").
Earlier in February, the court fined Leonid Gozman for violating the law on foreign agents. The reason was the politician's texts on social networks with "deliberate distortion of information about the actions of the Russian Armed Forces in the Ukrainian Conflict."
