A psychologist gave advice on protecting a child from burnout at school
Anna Avdeeva, a medical psychologist at the L. M. Roshal Children's Clinical Center, told how to protect a student from burnout.
Avdeeva noted that emotional burnout in children is manifested by apathy, anxiety, mood swings, as well as sleep disorders, changes in appetite and pain, Radio 1 reported on Thursday, September 18.
She called the correct sleep regime the main way of prevention: younger schoolchildren need to sleep 10-11 hours, middle school children — 9-10, high school students — 8-9. During periods of stress, sleep should be increased, and first-graders benefit from daytime rest.
The expert emphasized the importance of free time for classes based on interests and warned against imposing sections. She also advises to support the child, celebrate his successes and help him deal with difficulties by suggesting solutions.
If signs of burnout have already appeared, Avdeeva recommends contacting specialists, notes 360.ru .
