Bo Andersson, the former head of AvtoVAZ, compared Viktor Polyakov, the first CEO of the Russian automobile company, with the American industrialist Henry Ford, who founded Ford.

"I admire Viktor Polyakov, the first CEO of VAZ, the man who, in fact, built both the factory and the city. In terms of personality, in my opinion, he stands on a par with such giants of the automotive industry as Henry Ford," Avito Auto Magazine quotes the Swedish top manager as saying.

Bo Andersson served as CEO of AVTOVAZ from 2014 to 2016. He shared that at that time in the Russian Federation there was practically not a single humorous television program in which they would not openly mock the products of the Togliatti auto giant.

"Due to the low quality of the cars, due to the lack of technical progress in the company's models, due to the "day before yesterday" appearance. For all these reasons, the Lada brand then became the most popular target for jokes and criticism," said Andersson.
