The IFC supported the initiative to extend the annual leave to 35 days
The Moscow Federation of Trade Unions (MFP) supports the initiative to increase the length of annual paid leave from 28 to 35 calendar days. This was announced on September 17 by the deputy head of the organization, Sergey Chinnov.
"It is important for us that workers can have a full rest and recuperate, as well as spend more time with their families. I would like to point out that this idea is not new. For the fifth year now, we have been observing an alarming trend: people have started working more, for example, for 12 or even 16 hours," he said in an interview with TASS.
The deputy head of the IPPF clarified that the trade unions advocate the transition to a four-day working week with wages in order to prevent "occupational diseases", as well as promote health and increase labor productivity.
On the eve of the State Duma deputy Nikolai Novichok said that in Russia it is necessary to increase paid leave from 28 to 35 days. According to him, not only Russians of pre-retirement age, but also young workers, as well as middle-aged people, need to increase rest days.
