Jetour has cancelled an event in Moscow on September 16 dedicated to the launch of the new T1 crossover in the Russian market. The company's press service informed Izvestia about this on September 15. As part of the presentation, it was planned to reveal the prices and equipment of the new product.

"Unfortunately, the event dedicated to the launch of the new Jetour T1, which was scheduled for September 16 in Moscow, will not take place on the scheduled date and will be postponed," the company said.

It is already known that the Jetour T1 will be offered in Russia with gasoline turbo engines – a four-cylinder 1.5-liter engine with a capacity of 170 hp (270 Nm) combined with a seven-speed "robot" and a 2.0-liter engine that produces 245 hp (375 Nm) and works with an automatic. In the first case, the drive is front—wheel drive, in the second - full (with a system from BorgWarner). The more powerful unit has the same characteristics as the Jetour T2.

In terms of dimensions, the Jetour T1 practically repeats the T2 crossover, which is popular in Russia: the length of the novelty is 4,706 mm, the width is 1967 mm, and the wheelbase is 2,810 mm. The ground clearance is 190 mm, the depth of the ford is 600 mm, and the angles of entry and exit are 28 degrees each.

Earlier, on September 12, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation proposed to introduce an additional indicator when calculating the recycling fee for passenger cars (M1 category). The base rate will be formed based on the type and volume of the engine, and the engine power will affect the formation of the coefficient on a progressive scale.
