Nutritionist, PhD Elena Solomatina pointed out the danger of canned mushrooms, fish and stewed meat to health.

In an interview with Radio 1 on Friday, September 5, she explained that poisoning can manifest itself in different ways: not always with diarrhea and vomiting, sometimes it looks like a neurological disease - there may be double vision, slurred speech, dilated pupils, which resembles a stroke or ischemia. According to her, people often confuse such symptoms with a vascular crisis, but to avoid serious consequences, it is important to consult a doctor immediately.

Solomatina stressed that mushrooms and fish are considered the most dangerous canned foods. They should not be bought in unverified places, it is necessary to pay attention to the terms of sale. Fish can be infected with opisthorchiasis, so it must be well salted and smoked.

She also noted that an ordinary stew can also be dangerous: if improperly sterilized, the meat enters an airless environment, where there is a risk of infection.

The day before, Solomatina called mushrooms the most dangerous source of botulism. According to her, they are porous and absorb everything that is in the ground, so bacterial spores can easily get inside. Unlike pickles or sauerkraut, mushrooms do not undergo a fermentation process, writes RT.

In August, nutritionist Natalia Pavlyuk spoke about the deadly dangers of eating canned food due to excess fat and salt. According to her, canned food may contain heavy metals and microbes that are also harmful to the body.

In April, gastroenterologist Ekaterina Kashukh warned that only treatment at 100 degrees destroys staphylococcus in foods. You can get an infection from any low-quality food: meat, fish, canned food, notes 360.ru .

At the same time, doctor Andrey Tyazhelnikov told the Moscow city news agency that while working in the garden at the cottage there is a risk of contracting tetanus, botulism, mycosis and other dangerous infections. The specialist stressed that if a person feels unwell after working in the garden or vegetable garden, it is necessary to seek medical help.
