Senator Vladimir Dzhabarov responded to German Chancellor Friedrich Merz's insult to Russian President Vladimir Putin. In his message on the Telegram channel on September 4, Jabarov expressed dissatisfaction with the low level of Merz's political culture.

According to the senator, the chancellor should pay attention to the history of his family, including his grandfather and father, who were participants in Nazi crimes.

"They were the ones who took part in the extermination of our people," Jabarov said.

Earlier in the day, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Germany and a number of other countries "have not learned anything from history." She also drew attention to the fact that Merz and the head of the European Commission (EC) Ursula von der Leyen repeat the mistakes of their predecessors.

On August 30, Merz called for increased economic pressure on Russia. At the same time, on August 26, he threatened to tighten anti-Russian sanctions in the absence of a meeting between Putin and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
