A week of the best film and television projects of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) countries is taking place in Qingdao, China. The trailer for the film "Red Silk" was presented there at the opening ceremony. The thrilling retro detective itself will be released in China in early September.

Alyona Sviridova had to perform her hit "It will be like This" almost non-stop, a remake of which was released specifically for the release of the film. As Viktor Sineok, a columnist for Izvestia, said, this is a vivid example of how completely different cultures come together. Russian and Chinese actors starred in "Red Silk". The film was shot in the largest film studio in China and in several Russian regions.

In Russia, the premiere took place in February. The film has collected a record amount for its genre.

"I really enjoyed it, we found a common language very quickly. Because we are creative people," said actress Svetlana Chuikina.

Krasny Silk was created with the participation of NMG Kinoprokat (part of the National Media Group (NMG) holding). On the Chinese side, the Media Corporation of China (China Media Group, CMG) provides support in the promotion.

"The Russian-Chinese joint production has proved that it has a great future ahead of it. Our film "Red Silk", it turned out to be very successful. I look forward to the future of Russian-Chinese cinema with faith and hope," said Vadim Byrkin, general producer of the film Red Silk.

In May, the National Media Group and the Media Corporation of China signed a cooperation agreement in the presence of the leaders of the two countries during the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Victory. And before that, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping had discussed joint cinema several times as an example of successful work now in the cultural sphere. "Red Silk" is the first example in the recent history of joint filming between Russia and China.

"Of course, this rental and the premiere of the film are timed to coincide with the visit of the President of the Russian Federation to China. There have already been several presentations. The presentation, which was shown on Chinese television, was watched by 100 million viewers," said Svetlana Balanova, General Director of the National Media Group.

Earlier that day, it became known that the premiere of the film "Red Silk" in China will take place at the main cinema of China Film Group on September 4, and on the 6th it will be released in China. Cinity technology is going to be used at the screening, which allows for full immersion in the film.
