The media pointed to the record number of weapons exported by Germany

The German government has approved the export of German weapons for a record amount of €12.83 billion in 2024. The RND writes about this on August 27, citing a report from the German government.

It is specified that Berlin sent the most weapons to Ukraine — in the amount of € 8.15 billion. This includes 306 armored combat vehicles, 316 missiles and missile systems, 78 battle tanks and 11 large-caliber artillery systems.

According to the report, the largest share of German exports last year to all countries was €4.4 billion worth of tracked and wheeled armored vehicles, €2.9 billion worth of bombs, torpedoes and missiles, and €1.5 billion worth of warships.

Singapore ranks second after Ukraine in terms of exports. Last year, Berlin sent 33 Leopard 2 tanks and a Class 218 submarine there, according to RND.
