The United States is ready to support Ukraine with intelligence after the end of the Ukrainian conflict, as well as to participate in the European-led air defense shield of the country. This was announced on August 26 by the British newspaper Financial Times (FT), citing sources.

The "Coalition of the Willing," led by Britain and France, has promised to protect post-war Ukraine from any future Russian aggression. But European officials have privately acknowledged that any deployment can only happen with U.S. support to secure, control, and protect European troops," the newspaper reported.

It is noted that post-war support will include American aviation, logistics, and ground-based radars supporting and securing a no-fly zone and an air shield for Ukraine.

According to the newspaper, the United States still opposes the deployment of its own troops in Ukraine, the sources said. In addition, members of the Trump administration are skeptical of any involvement in the post-war guarantees, fearing that this could draw the United States into a future conflict.

On August 19, Bloomberg reported that about 10 countries had expressed their willingness to send troops to Ukraine as part of providing possible security guarantees for Kiev. It is noted that this was clarified during the summit of European officials. The meeting was devoted to a plan for the possible deployment of French and British troops to Ukraine in the event of a peace agreement.

On the same day, US President Donald Trump commented on the desire of France, Germany and Britain to deploy troops in Ukraine. The American leader noted that while he holds his post as head of state, there will be no United States troops in Ukraine.
