The founder of the IT company iSpring, Uskov, was placed under house arrest.
The Yoshkar-Ola City Court has placed the founder of the iSpring IT company, Yuri Uskov, under house arrest. This was reported on August 22 in the joint press service of the courts of the Republic of Mari El.
"The investigator's petition has been considered to change the preventive measure for the director of iSpring in the form of a ban on certain actions to a preventive measure in the form of house arrest with the imposition of the obligation on him to be isolated from society in a residential building," the Telegram channel says.
It is noted that the reason for changing the preventive measure was the violation by the accused of the previously established restrictions.
On February 12, the Yoshkar-Ola City Court of the Republic of Mari El refused Uskov's house arrest. According to him, the investigation requested that the founder of the IT company be placed under house arrest. It is noted that during the hearing, the man expressed surprise at the charges. At the same time, Uskov was given a preventive measure in the form of a ban on certain actions.
On February 11, the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia announced that a criminal case had been opened against Uskov and the head of the administration of the Orsha district of Mari El, Plotnikov, on the grounds of a crime under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Fraud on an especially large scale"), on fraud with municipal land plots. According to the investigation, in 2013, iSpring bought a plot of land from the municipality for the construction of an IT village at an undervalued price.
