The rating of South Korean President Lee Jae-myung has reached a record low of 51.1% since he took office. This was announced on August 18 by the South Korean statistical service Realmeter.

It is noted that the survey was conducted from August 11 to August 14 by telephone interview. It was attended by 1,300 voters over the age of 18 across the country.

Lee Jae-myung's rating has been declining for two weeks, reaching a record high of 51.1%. So, in the last week of July, the rating of the South Korean president was 63.3%. In the first week of August, the values were 56.5%.

44.5% of the respondents said they were not satisfied with the president's work, while 4.5% were undecided on the answer. Some of the respondents who positively assessed the president's activities decreased by 5.4%, while some who assessed them negatively increased by 6.3% compared to the previous week.

According to the data, the main reasons for the downgrade are disappointment over the special amnesty of 2,188 prisoners in honor of Korea Liberation Day, disputes over the share transfer tax, as well as discontent caused by the imprisonment of former South Korean President Yun Seok-young.

Earlier, on July 4, it became known about the victory of the candidate from the opposition Democratic Party of Korea, Lee Jae-myung, in the presidential election. Lee Jae-myung won 49.42% of the votes.

On April 4, the Constitutional Court of South Korea approved the impeachment of President Yoon Seok-young. The South Korean president was removed from office due to the short-term imposition of martial law in December.
