The Shcherbinsky court of Moscow sentenced Natalia Sorokina, who killed a child and a nanny, to 7.5 years in prison in a general regime colony. This was announced on Thursday, August 14, by a correspondent of Izvestia from the courtroom.
The courts of general jurisdiction in Moscow clarified that Sorokin was also deprived of the right to engage in activities related to driving for 2.9 years.
In addition, her Porsche Cayenne car was confiscated for state revenue.
The tragedy happened on December 14, 2024, on the territory of a closed village in New Moscow. Sorokina, being intoxicated, lost control and flew onto the sidewalk, where the babysitter was walking with a nine-year-old boy. The victims were hospitalized with injuries of varying severity. The child died in the hospital. Sorokin was taken into custody on December 16 last year.
