LDPR deputies have developed a bill that involves the introduction of fines for bullying and cyberbullying. According to the text of the bill, which is available to Izvestia, an individual can be fined 10-50 thousand rubles, officials — 100-200 thousand rubles, a legal entity — 100-500 thousand rubles.

"Bullying, which in Russian is a banal harassment and humiliation of a person, has become a serious problem in Russia, which affects both adults and children. Especially, of course, minors with their fragile psyche. The capabilities of messengers and social networks multiply the impact on the victim," Leonid Slutsky, chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party, told Izvestia.

According to him, the LDPR believes that preventive measures are not enough and "cyber-scams" should be significantly punished in rubles. The State Duma is also working on a bill aimed at preventing bullying among minors. One of the authors of the initiative is the head of the Youth Policy Committee, Artyom Metelev (United Russia). The bill is currently being finalized.
