In early September, Belarus will host a series of exercises in the format of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO). This was announced on August 6 by the Ministry of Defense of the Republic.
"A series of exercises in the CSTO format will be held on the territory of Belarus in early September," the Telegram channel says.
According to the publication, the first military contingent has already arrived in the country for training and further participation.
It is specified that the exercises will involve the Collective Rapid Reaction Forces (CSR) "Interaction-2025"; forces and means of reconnaissance "Search-2025"; as well as forces and means of logistical support for the CSR "Echelon-2025".
Earlier that day, it became known that the first echelon with Russian military personnel and military equipment had arrived in Belarus to participate in the Zapad-2025 joint exercises. It was noted that the military of both countries is currently in the final stages of training. Military exercises between Russia and Belarus will begin in September.
On May 16, Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov, during talks with his Belarusian counterpart Viktor Khrenin in Minsk, drew attention to the fact that during the Russian-Belarusian Zapad-2025 exercises, it is planned to work out repelling aggression against the Union State (SG).
Later, on May 28, Khrenin noted that the main maneuvers of the Zapad-2025 joint military exercises of Russia and Belarus were being moved inland from the western borders of the country. He stressed that the exercises are not aimed at other countries, and moving their main actions deeper means readiness for dialogue and reducing tension in the region.
