The Gruzavtotrans Association of road carriers has asked Roskomnadzor to inspect the installation of radio interference generators along the roads. This is stated in the statement of the carriers, which was reviewed by Izvestia on August 6.

Carriers complain about the systematic fines they receive for allegedly disabled navigation devices. In fact, according to the authors of the appeal, the loss of satellite signals is due to the improper installation of jammers.

Such devices are often placed near gas stations, oil depots, logistics centers and other facilities, which interferes with the normal operation of navigation equipment. The association's letter indicates that both mobile communications and the signal for satellite navigation systems are lost on the highways.

"If the satellite signal is lost, the toll collection system on federal roads decides that the driver turned off the monitoring devices himself and automatically issues a report on the fine," Vladimir Matyagin, president of Gruzavtotrans, told Izvestia.

The purchase of jammers becomes available to any interested party, however, as experts note, there is currently no regulatory framework governing the use of such devices.

Director of the RuDrones company.Unmanned Technologies" Dmitry Datsykov also noted that signal loss is critical not only for drivers, but also for local residents in settlements that are located near sources of interference.

Gruzavtotrans has previously appealed to the Ministry of Transport and the government with a request to stop unjustified fines and impose a moratorium on their accrual. A complaint was also submitted to Rosavtodor, which notified the regulatory authorities about the problems with the jammers.

Roskomnadzor has received the association's appeal and will consider it in due course, the service told Izvestia. Cases of unauthorized installation of such devices have already been recorded, they noted.

On July 24, experts pointed out the risk of a collapse in cargo transportation in St. Petersburg due to new fines. It is noted that if the dimensions are exceeded by 50 cm or overloaded by 20-50%, the amount of the penalty reaches 450 thousand rubles. The maximum fine — 600 thousand rubles — is imposed for an attempt to evade weight and size control, and the owner of the car is obliged to pay it.
