Palestine supports the deployment of international forces on its territories

Ramallah supports the initiative to deploy international peacekeeping troops in all Palestinian territories. The Palestinian Ambassador to Austria and Permanent Observer to international organizations in Vienna, Salah Abdel Shafi, said this in an interview with Izvestia.

Other European leaders have also considered the initiative.

"We have always demanded that all Palestinian territories, without exception — including East Jerusalem, the Gaza Strip and the West Bank — be under international protection," the diplomat said.

According to him, attacks by Jewish settlers occur daily in the West Bank, and the systematic seizure of Palestinian lands by Israel continues.

"We need international protection and we advocate the deployment of international troops in all Palestinian territories," the ambassador said.
