AvtoVAZ has gone on a three-week vacation, but customers will not notice this, since the total stock in the warehouses of the automobile plant and dealers can exceed 100 thousand cars. In the first half of this year, stocks increased by about 30 thousand units, Sergey Tselikov, director of the Autostat analytical agency, said in his Telegram channel on July 28.

In the first half of the year, 162.8 thousand Lada vehicles (including light commercial vehicles) were sold on the Russian market, which is 23% less than in the first half of 2024. The initial production plan of AVTOVAZ for the current year assumed the production of 500 thousand cars. In June, First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov said that AvtoVAZ would reduce the plan, and this would happen for reasons beyond the control of the domestic automaker.

AvtoVAZ announced the departure of a single corporate vacation from July 28 to August 17. During the three-week break, the company's enterprises will undergo repairs, maintenance and modernization of technological equipment and tooling. It is also planned to improve the working conditions of employees.

AvtoVAZ announced on July 22 that in early autumn the company would consider changing the schedule of its production sites from September 29 and switching to a four-day working week.
