Middle Eastern vacation destinations are becoming popular among Russians

International destinations are more modest in price dynamics than domestic destinations. At the same time, there is an increase in demand for travel to the Middle East country. This was stated by Alexander Osaulenko, director of the Turpomosh Association, Vice President of the Russian Union of Travel Industry, at the Izvestia News Center on July 23 during a press conference on: "The Equator of Summer: how is the 2025 tourist season going?"

He recalled that new destinations are opening up in Russia this year, for example, the countries of the Middle East — Qatar, Oman. These areas are among the most advanced.

"Russians are still a fairly modest indicator [among these countries], but this year we will see other indicators," Osaulenko assured.

Earlier, on April 18, the Association of Travel Aggregators (ATAG) and booking services reported on the growing demand for travel with children. According to Tutu, such bookings have more than doubled for the May holidays and 2.6 times for the summer.
