In Russia, the number of cities with duplicate names has been calculated

There are 67 cities with matching names registered in Russia. This was reported to RIA Novosti on July 13 by the Roskadaster press service.

As specified, there are "more than 1,250 cities in the country, of which 67 have recurring names."

In particular, there are three cities in Russia called Krasnoarmeysk — in the Donetsk People's Republic, Moscow and Saratov regions. The names Alexandrovsk also occur three times in the Luhansk People's Republic, Perm Krai and Murmansk Oblast, Primorsk in Kaliningrad, Leningrad and Zaporizhia oblasts, and Sovetsk in Tula, Kaliningrad and Kirov oblasts.

Names such as Guryevsk, Berezovsky, Dzerzhinsk, Mikhailovsk, Artemovsk, Krasnoslobodsk, Mirny, Pervomaisk, Ozersk, Svetly, Solnechny and Svobodny are repeated twice.

On July 5, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed Russian Culture Minister Olga Lyubimova to "tighten up" cultural facilities in new Russian territories. During the meeting, the implementation of restoration projects in a number of regions of the country, as well as the department's work with new regions were discussed.
