Father Pavel, Assistant Commander of the Guards airborne assault unit for work with believers, conducted a divine service for the military personnel of the Dnepr group of forces. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation showed footage of the divine service on Sunday, July 13.

"Today, we held a wonderful event with the military personnel of the Dnipro group, we celebrated the sacrament of the Eucharist, communion, communion with the guys. They conducted the sacrament of confession. We prayed that the Lord would take care of us and bless us for military exploits," Father Pavel said.

The Ministry of Defense noted that military priests regularly conduct divine services for religious servicemen. They provide the personnel with the opportunity to receive the sacraments of the church, receive communion and confess, despite all the dangers of being near the front line. The ministry stressed that conversations with priests have a beneficial effect on the morale of military personnel. The fighters find support in their faith, attend liturgies and prayer services on Orthodox holidays.

"This is especially felt in these places, because with God, any hardships and deprivations of military service are much easier to perceive, because the Lord really strengthens," Father Pavel noted.

Earlier, on April 29, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that the priests of the Central Military District (CVO) for the first time delivered the Holy Fire from Jerusalem to the dugout churches in the area of the special operation.
