Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov laid flowers at the memorial complex "National Memory" in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan. The footage is published by Izvestia on June 25.

Earlier in the day, the Russian Foreign Minister arrived in Turkmenistan on an official visit. The minister's plane landed at Ashgabat airport.

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov arrived in Moscow on May 9 to take part in events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War (WWII). A year ago, he also took part in the Victory anniversary celebrations as an honorary guest.
